Suffering is all in the thoughts, beliefs and perceptions. Round and round the Wheel of Dharma we go experiencing the different form of being human and gathering wisdom from the sufferings and joys of a particular life.
Shamanistic, body and energy techniques which allow Spirit Guides to guide the session work concurrently with the energy field, the thoughts, beliefs, current emotions and past emotional states to bring about a relaxation response.
Past life regression and healing can bring forth images, feelings and memories of the challenging experiences that are imprinted from other times. The lessons and themes of this life can be traced to other times when another version of myself was placed in a different body, culture and time. Unresolved archetypical images that come forth in a session held old patterns hold a tremendous capacity for healing the fears, phobias and insecurities of this life. They are powerful stories brought up by the subconscious mind but working them brings vast relief and understanding.
Here’s my philosophy of living in balance with the Tao of Life despite daily experiences that seem negative and overwhelming: Things that happen to me are just events. As Byron Katie said, “Everything happens for me, not to me.” Daily events remain neutral events until I say, “This is terrible. This is unjust. This is wrong. This isn’t fair. I’ve been betrayed” When negative things happen to me and I attach negative beliefs and affect to them, my energy field become stuck. Unresolved strong emotions such as terror, anger, grief, helplessness repeated constantly can create a karmic imprint that is passed energetically down through the life times. But the greater truth is that experiences just are. No matter how bad they seem, they are lessons to be understood, accepted and released.
It’s my decision ultimately how I want to define events. Suffering or no—it’s up to me. If I learn from the events then there is some benefit from them. In learning and accepting the slings, arrows and so-called betrayals that happen to me and see them from a cosmic perspective, I can release that karmic imprint. By calling in the Universal Loving Energies and seeing things through that grand perspective of the Bigger Picture, we can be set free.
The small self, the shadow and at times even the ego work in tandem to work through the dualities of rejection and separation and return to our essential Oneness. There is no victimization when we see things from the perspective of the Absolute. “Weapons cannot hurt the Self and the fire can never burn him. Untouched he is by drenching waters, untouched he is by parching winds. Beyond the power of sword and fire, beyond the power of waters and winds, the Self is everlasting… never changing…ever One. Know that He is, and cease from sorrow,” says the Bhaghavad Gita.
Events are just events. As Byron Katie said, “Everything happens for me, not to me.” Events remain neutral events until I say, “This is terrible. This is unjust. This is wrong. This isn’t fair.” They remain events until the affect becomes so strong based on my judgments and beliefs that I go into terror, rage, grief, helplessness or one of the other emotions that creates the karmic scar tissue. But the greater truth is that experiences just are. No matter how bad they seem, they are to be accepted and released. It’s my decision ultimately how I want to define events. Suffering or no—it’s up to me and if I learn from the events then there is some benefit from them.
